Course Description

This course introduces map making, the elements of a map, and how geographic information systems can support creating helpful maps for communities.

The course will support the learner in fundamental GIS skills, developing competencies and skills in starting a GIS project, designing a digital map, adding satellite imagery, and digitizing data important to their communities.
