Course Description
This course introduces the main software that is used at SmartICE for GIS. The first section will cover the basics of ArcGIS Pro. Everything that you need to know in order to get started with the software. ArcGIS Pro is a large program with lots of tools, this course will help you to navigate the software. The second section of the course will teach you how to create a map, how to add spatial data, and how to set a map projection. There will be new terms throughout the course. Be sure to spend time to understand those terms before moving onto the next part of the course.
The course will support the learner in fundamental GIS skills, developing competencies and skills in starting a GIS project, designing a digital map, adding spatial data, and setting a project. In later courses, you will learn how to create your own spatial data.
